visit to canterbury

-        What do you think you are going to see?

I think we are going to see the Canterbury cathedral, and inside the cathedral, we are going to see the crypt, and the inside.

Also we’re going to see a few museums.

-        Do you think you're going to like what you will see? Why do you think that?

I’m not so sure, I normally don’t like museums and old buildings, but I’m pretty curious about the cathedral, from what I hear from others. But also I’m also a bit frightened it isn’t  going to be fun at all (as one of our teachers told us...)

-        What do you already know about the history of the cathedral? (Write a short summary in your own words.)

Well, I know a famous bishop called Thomas becket was killed there, and therefore many pilgrims made a pilgrimage to Canterbury(that’s how the Canterbury tales were made, from these pilgrims). But that’s pretty much all I can think of at the moment.

Shoe assignment

This is the shoe I designed for an assignment.
I actually had no inspiration, but then i looked at the wall next to me and saw Piet Mondriaan drawings, which i know i could make. So I started working and this is the result.

On this assignment we also had to draw something to make it sell. So I added a logo to it, which contains all three colors mondriaan uses most(blue, red, yellow) and added a white squire in the middle. also the logo is round, while mondriaan uses always squares, I did this on purpose, because it was somewhat contradictory.

I then added this logo on the shoe and in the back, with some circly things.
And, i wrote in my best handwriting(my normal writing is terrible) "P. Mondriaan TM", meaning Piet Mondriaan Trade Mark

illuminated letters assignmet

<- this is my illuminated letter.It represents the end of the middle ages, when people starded to re-use old ideas(from wich i chose the I ). the circle behind the I, represents the earth, they firstly thought was plane(squared background) but then discovered to be round(the circle), by exploration travels(the windrose). it's a contrast of squares and circles.

vieuw out of room assignment

here is my final drawing: i've deleted all the trees and etc, to make it a bit square landscape. i also did this becouse I lost my first drawing...
also, as the assignment was, i left some white space which is the house sides and the footpath next to the street. hope you like it:

for this exercise I've chosen an film poster with a guy on it who represents Dolf, and Jesus on a cross, because it's an crusade. in this exercise there had to be and thing that isn't in the past, so i gave Dolf an jack and jones t-shir and Jesus an coca cola  can:

movie flip flap book

i've made an movie, as the excercise said, about the flip flap book(or flap-book) I made.

it's some sort of weird story about a were wolf moving his arms up and then crossing them and then gets killed by a hunter, from wich u can only see his gun.

for school we had to make a banknote.i chose for a bridge on the frontside, becouse it's on a real banknote too(can't remember which one).on the backside i chose for some paterns, and i used some paterns from the backside (the flower and the animal) on the frontside.

assignment: colorcircle(also select text, srry again)

for school we had to make a colorcircle, this is what i made:
(only a part of it becouse my printer isn't working well). i think it worked out really well, except for the fact that i'm not soo good at drawing INSIDE lines ( (= ), and that the color purple didn't work out that well, but i like it anyway, it's good for what i can (so not very good, lol)
